Colin McRae
Colin Steele McRae, MBE (August 5, 1968 - September 15, 2007) was a Scottish World Rally Championship driver, the son of five-time British Rally Champion, Jimmy McRae and older brother of professional driver Alister McRae. He won the world driver's title in 1995, was championship runner-up in 1996, 1997 and 2001, and third in 1998.

He helped Subaru to the Manufacturers' title in 1995, 1996 and 1997, and Citroën in 2003. He was appointed MBE (Member of the Order of British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth II in 1996.

It has been widely reported that McRae is suspected of being killed in a helicopter crash on 15 September 2007[1] but the identity of all four victims of the crash has yet to be officially confirmed by police [2]. It is however believed that his son was with him in the helicopter.

He was a real champion of the Rallye-Motorsport, and I can´t believe he´s gone so early of his young life. Every time when i watch the WRC on TV i remember you. I miss you and you will alway live in my and the thousands of other fans hearts and minds! Rest in peace! Kim Marwede Kassel/Germany

Colin McRae Rally, un videogioco. Mi è bastato un banale videogioco per innamorarmi di te e ogni volta che correvi in una gara ero felice. Ma ora tutto è finito e perfino il videogioco a cambiato nome. Grazie Colin, mi hai fatto appassionare a questo sport e di te non ci dimenticheremo mai!

...mi hai fatto innamorare dannatamente dei rally,ero un bimbo la prima volta che ti ho visto capottare al Motor Show di Bologna,sei entrato nel mio cuore e per sempre resterai!

Obwohl es bereits mehr als ein Jahr her ist bin ich immer noch betroffen. Das noch 3 weitere Person ums Leben kamen ist umso tragischer als, dass sein kleiner Sohn dabei war...das Leben ist leider doch ungerecht.
