Heath Ledger
Heathcliff Andrew Ledger (April 4, 1979 – January 22, 2008) was an Academy Award-nominated Australian actor. After appearing in television roles during the 1990s, Ledger developed a Hollywood career. He starred in both critical and financial successes, including The Patriot, Monster's Ball, and Brokeback Mountain, and completed the role of The Joker in the forthcoming The Dark Knight.

On January 22, 2008, Ledger was found dead in his fourth-floor apartment at 421 Broome Street in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City. He was found at 3:26 p.m. EST by a housekeeper and a massage therapist, who entered the bedroom to find him face down and unconscious at the foot of his bed with sleeping pills on a nearby night table. Police said that they also found prescription medication in the bathroom and that there were "no obvious signs" of suicide, nor did they suspect foul play.

As always, it is harder for those remaining behind. So to them I wish strenght and the power to accept that he is no longer here. But there... it's a diferent story, no more pain and trouble. And we are all going to join him sooner or later, so let's not mourn his death but celebrate his life.

Sorry I missed the anniversary of your birthday. It's still hard to believe you're gone from this crazy life. I thought my friend was joking when she sent me the text about your death and it still seems kinda surreal. What a beautiful spirit you have and you and Michelle seemed so in love and your little angel Matilda. I think we all wish to turn back time and fix this somehow. Anyone who knew you, knows the truth and the rest is media trash. Big love to you Michelle and your beautiful little girl. And of course, love to Heath's family. Rock on up there Heath xxx

No matter what anyone else says about Heath Ledger, I for one will still love him with my whole heart. He is not perfect person. Neither am I.In the movie Brokeback Mountain,Heath plays a goodlooking cowboy. He,Heath in real life is an excellent horseman. He makes a horse all the more beautiful to look at,because he is beautiful as will. I am going still be one of Heath's fans for a long time to come. God Bless You, Heath Ledger. Your fan always, Clemi Hacker

What a most talented and genuine man Heath, Michelle is blessed for having you in her life if only for a short time. Love lasts for eternity. God bless you and your family. Always remembered x x x

My heart breaks for you, the family of Heath. He was the most beautiful, talented young man. To the world he was a "star". To you his family, he was not only a star, but your beloved son, and brother. You had watched him grow from a beautiful baby, to an even more beautiful young man.

Heath was the same age as my own youngest son - and I just can't comprehend the devestation you must feel. I nearly lost my son to serious illness five years ago (Whilst he was travelling overseas)- Please embrace the love and outpouring of emotion the world is sending you..for the loss of your beautiful son.. there are no words adequate enough to soften any blow such as the one your have experienced - my heartfelt love, from my family to yours..

Annie (Mother and Grandmother) xx

The first time I've seen Heath Ledger was in the Patriot with Mel Gibson. I could not get my eyes off of him, I was simply stunned by his presence and beauty and with what intencity the young man did play his role. My favourite Movie was a Knight´s Tale because I started to ride when I was 10 years old and always liked knights and the middle age thing. Later on of course I also adored him in Brokeback Mountain. Never was a dead from a "famous person" more shocking to me than Heath's did. I guess he was a sort of "Dream-Man" that so many girls (such as I) where dreaming of. His honest presence, his humble spirit his cute smile and the way he did express himself in interviews was more than just a young man's soul - more old man river!

I know how it is to loose a close friend, my best friend commitet suicide in 2005 she was such an incredible beautiful person (born 1980).

I am so sad that Heath has died, so I never got the chance to meet him personal... even if I (as a normal person) did not think to get a chance so however: To his family. Thank you, for being such a loving and caring family to him - I guess he needet that after all the noise around his person... and that you have brougt such an outstanding man like Heath was (as I was 8 years in Australia - I just simply feel the good spirit as I love this country)into this world - I wish for his former finace and daugther that they will overcome the pain and grief!

Still it is such a loss
and so sad!
Goodbye darling Heath
Maybe we'll meet
annother time -
annother place!

Love
Angela

What a terrible waste! Hollywood has lost a terrific actor and what's worse: Matilda Rose has lost her father. My heartfelt thoughts go out to Heath's family, Matilda Rose and Michelle Williams. I do hope you can find the strenght to cope with this awful loss.

I am so sad that this handsome and great actor has passed so soon, I can't imagine how big Heath would have gotten. Everyone was already in love with him. He didn't mean to do this. I wished someone could have saved him. He just went to sleep and never woke up. He was too young. I have a son his age. I can't imagine the grief. Knowing we will never hear his voice again or see him in another movie. My heart goes out to Matilda, Michelle, Parents and sister. May God Bless You All!
